Independent professional services
Windrode provides independent advisory, inspection, readiness, due-diligence, assessment, recruitment-support, career-preparation and training services. Each engagement is governed by an agreed scope, assumptions, limitations and deliverables.
No statutory or official capacity
Windrode is not automatically a classification society, Flag State authority, Port State Control authority, statutory inspector, certification body, official examiner or official vetting authority. It does not make statutory decisions or issue official certificates unless a specific lawful appointment is expressly established in writing.
Official responsibility
Official inspections, statutory decisions, certifications and regulatory determinations remain the responsibility of the relevant competent authority, recognised organisation, classification society, Flag State, Port State or other official body.
Scope of support
Windrode may provide independent inspections, pre-purchase due diligence, owner or takeover assessments, flag-change or reflagging readiness, Class inspection readiness, Flag State inspection readiness, PSC readiness, vetting readiness, professional opinions, candidate preparation, assessment and recruitment support.
Inspection limitations
Observations reflect the agreed scope, access, information and vessel condition at the time of attendance. An independent inspection is not a guarantee of condition, compliance, future performance or a successful official inspection. Concealed defects and matters outside scope may not be identified. Further specialist or technical investigation may be recommended.
Professional network
Where appropriate, Windrode may assemble specialist associates or experienced maritime professionals according to vessel profile, scope, complexity, competence, availability and conflicts of interest. Their role and responsibility will be defined for the engagement.
